ELSA - What the Role Involves

  • Working closely with class teachers and the SENDCO to identify pupils who would benefit from ELSA support
  • Maintaining accurate, sensitive records of pupil progress and feeding back regularly to the wider pastoral team
  • Building patient, trusted relationships with pupils who may be experiencing emotional or social difficulties

 

ELSA - What the School is Looking For

The ideal ELSA will hold a 2:1 or 1st Class degree from a top 30 UK university, ideally in Psychology, Education, or a related discipline. Previous experience working with children in a UK educational setting is highly valued. The school is seeking a patient, empathetic, and emotionally resilient ELSA with excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in pupil wellbeing.

ELSA - Salary and Contract Info

  • £500 to £550 per week, pro rata to term time only
  • Full-time, long-term contract from September 2026 to July 2027
  • Term-time only
