A welcoming secondary school in Barking & Dagenham is looking for enthusiastic Subject Mentors to join their team on a full-time basis, supporting students aged 11-16 through tailored academic support and targeted interventions.

Looking for a Subject Mentor who...

  • Holds a degree in English, Maths, Science, Humanities, Languages, or a related subject
  • Has previous experience working with young people through tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or voluntary work

  • Can support students of varying abilities, including those with additional learning needs
  • Has ambitions to become a secondary school teacher
  • Is confident, resilient, and eager to gain classroom experience

 

As a Subject Mentor, you will work closely with students both inside and outside the classroom, helping to raise attainment, build confidence, and support learning. You will provide targeted intervention sessions, assist teachers in lessons, and help students overcome barriers to academic success.
