Are you a high-achieving Maths graduate with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for helping students excel? A leading sixth-form secondary school in Haringey is seeking a Maths Academic Coach to join their team on an ASAP start, providing targeted academic support to highly motivated students.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to gain meaningful school-based experience before pursuing teacher training, a Master's, PhD or another education-focused career. The role will suit someone with excellent A-Level results and a strong Maths degree who is confident supporting students working towards demanding academic goals, including Further Mathematics.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group academic coaching in Mathematics
  • Support students with challenging GCSE, A-Level and Further Mathematics content
  • Reinforce classroom learning and develop problem-solving skills
  • Help students prepare for assessments and build academic confidence
  • Work closely with Maths teachers to identify and address learning gaps

What We're Looking For

  • A Russell Group degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject
  • Strong A-Level results, particularly in Mathematics and ideally Further Mathematics
  • Previous child-centred or student-centred experience through tutoring, mentoring, coaching or similar
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex mathematical concepts clearly
  • Strong academic ability and genuine enthusiasm for Mathematics
