Are you an experienced musician or HLTA with a passion for music and a desire to inspire children across the primary age range?

Join a welcoming primary school in Tower Hamlets as a Music HLTA, where you will take responsibility for delivering music lessons during staff PPA time to pupils from Nursery through to Year 6. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident music practitioner to play a key role in developing pupils’ musical ability, confidence, and creativity across the school.

Music HLTA | The Role

  • Plan and deliver engaging Music lessons across Nursery, EYFS, KS1 and KS2
  • Develop pupils’ musical knowledge, confidence, creativity, and performance skills
  • Lead and develop an after-school choir
  • Lead and develop an after-school orchestra
  • Adapt lessons to meet the needs and abilities of different age groups
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider school team to support pupils’ development

Music HLTA | Who Are We Looking For?

  • An experienced musician, Music Teacher, HLTA or confident music practitioner
  • Strong musical knowledge and the ability to teach children across the primary age range
  • Experience delivering Music lessons within a school setting is highly desirable
  • Confident leading groups such as choirs, orchestras or ensembles
  • A proactive, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage pupils from Nursery to Year 6
