SEND Teaching Assistant Required in Ealing to support a student with ADHD

Are you passionate about supporting children with ADHD and helping them thrive in a school environment?

A welcoming Primary School in Ealing is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a student with ADHD. This role is ideal for a patient and empathetic individual with experience or a keen interest in working with children who have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, helping them succeed both academically and socially.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing focused 1:1 support to a student with ADHD, helping them stay engaged and on track with their learning in a classroom setting.
  • Implementing tailored strategies to manage attention, behaviour, and emotional regulation, ensuring the student can fully participate in school activities.
  • Working closely with teachers, the SEN team, and parents to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that address the student's unique needs.
  • Monitoring the student's progress, adjusting support as necessary, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Supporting the development of the student's social skills and self-confidence, helping them build positive relationships with peers and staff.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working with children with ADHD or a related interest in supporting students with behavioural and attention difficulties.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with the student and collaborate effectively with staff and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to helping the student overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
