MFL Graduate | Work with students from KS3 up to KS5 | Immediate start!

We are looking for a confident MFL Graduate with tutoring experience to join a successful, high-achieving school as a Languages Support Assistant for students in the secondary school and sixth form of a Good school, on their journey to becoming Outstanding.

As an MFL (Modern Foreign Languages) Graduate, you will utilise your expertise in French and to support students in their language learning journey. You will work closely with the MFL department to create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that fosters cultural awareness, language proficiency, and fluency in target languages.

MFL Graduate Pay Rate: £96-£105 per day | Paid weekly via PAYE | Inclusive of Holiday Pay
MFL Graduate Interview Process: 1 Stage - Spend a morning in the school shadowing a member of the team, and have an interview straight after.

MFL Graduate | About the role:

  • An MFL Graduate will assist in planning and delivering engaging and interactive lessons in French
  • Support individual and small group language practice sessions to enhance fluency
  • Collaborate with the MFL department to develop diverse and inclusive classroom materials as an MFL Graduate
  • Provide tailored support to students with diverse learning needs, including SEN (Special Educational Needs) support
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students, promoting cultural awareness and respect
  • This role starts as a contract role, with the opportunity to be taken on permanently from September 2025

MFL Graduate | About you:

  • A First Class Bachelor's degree in Modern Foreign Languages, Linguistics, or related field is essential for an MFL Graduate
  • Proficiency in French with a strong emphasis on cultural understanding and cultural competency
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students
  • Understanding of diverse learning needs and proficiency in implementing differentiated teaching strategies
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and cultural exchange

Day-to-day responsibilities for an MFL Graduate:

  • Assisting with dynamic lesson planning and engaging materials preparation
  • Conducting interactive and immersive language practice sessions with students
  • Collaborating with the MFL department to implement diverse and inclusive teaching strategies
  • Providing additional tailored support to students with diverse learning needs
  • Engaging with students to promote cultural awareness and respect
