Speech & Language Assistant – Dagenham – ASAP Start

Role:

• Work with secondary school children who have speech and language difficulties, providing tailored 1:1 and group support
• Collaborate with teaching staff to create an engaging, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
• Help students develop communication skills, confidence, and positive behaviour through personalised interventions
• Adapt your approach to meet the unique needs of each child in a nurturing, safe atmosphere
• Gain valuable experience in a specialist provision, boosting your career in education and special needs

Requirements:

• A 2:1 degree or higher from a Russell Group university, preferably in Speech and Language, Psychology, or a related field
• Previous experience working with SEN students, ideally in a Speech and Language context
• Strong enthusiasm, patience, resilience, and a positive work ethic
• A genuine interest in helping students overcome challenges in communication
