Join an inclusive Primary School in Tower Hamlets as an Autism Support Assistant. In this role you’ll be supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) helping to create a nurturing environment where all children can thrive.

 

Autism Support Assistant | Job Summary

  • Full-time term time only Autism Support Assistant role | Long term contract until July 2025
  • Work alongside qualified SEND professionals & Specialist Teachers
  • Role paying £400-£500 per week | Paid weekly on PAYE basis
  • First-Class or 2:1 Psychology degree from a Top 20 UK University
  • Inhouse and external training to further develop your skill set

 

Autism Support Assistant | Job Role

  • Support small groups of students and on a 1:1 basis to help them engage with the curriculum and achieve their full potential
  • Encourage independence and confidence in students, both academically and socially.
  • Assisting with sensory and behavior management strategies to create a calm and structured learning environment.
  • Support students with autism in managing daily routines, including personal care, leisure activities, and educational tasks.
