Science Graduate Teaching Assistant – Barnet

Full-time | Long-term | £95–£105 per day | Immediate start

This high-performing boys’ secondary school in Barnet is looking for an engaging and academically strong Science Graduate to join their team as a Teaching Assistant. The Role:

• Work closely with the school’s SENCO to support students with SEN and SEMH needs such as Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and Global Developmental Delay
• Provide 1:1 and small group support, particularly for pupils with EHCPs under Band C provision
• Help deliver targeted interventions and adapt resources to ensure accessibility and engagement in Science and other core subjects
• Offer in-class academic support to help students reach their full potential
• Receive full induction and ongoing training from the SEN and teaching teams

Requirements:

• A Science-related degree (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Biomedical Science, Psychology)
• Strong academic background with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A genuine interest in working with young people and supporting students with additional needs
• Previous experience with children or SEN (paid or voluntary) is advantageous but not essential
