Finance Assistant | Hillingdon
Salary: £29,000 – £35,000

A large and well-established education setting in Hillingdon is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join its finance team, with a clear pathway for progression into a senior finance leadership role over time.

This role is ideal for an ambitious and capable finance professional looking to embed themselves within an organisation long-term, develop strategic financial skills, and progress towards a Director of Finance position within approximately five years.

The Role:

• Support the day-to-day financial operations of the organisation

• Process invoices, purchase orders, and expense claims accurately and efficiently

• Maintain and reconcile financial records across multiple cost centres

• Assist with budget monitoring, forecasting, and reporting

• Support audits and compliance with internal and external financial regulations

• Work closely with senior leaders to develop a strong understanding of financial strategy

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience in a finance or accounts role (education or public sector desirable but not essential)

• Strong understanding of financial processes and controls

• High attention to detail with excellent organisational skills

• Confident user of Microsoft Excel and finance systems

• Ambitious, proactive, and keen to progress into a senior finance leadership role

• Able to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team

• Salary: £29,000 – £35,000, dependent on experience

• Contract Type: Full-time, permanent
