Job Description

Psychology Graduate – SEN & SEMH Support

Location: Brent | September 2026 Start | £100 per day PAYE

Are you a Psychology Graduate from a Top 30 university, with Oxbridge graduates particularly encouraged to apply, looking to gain meaningful school-based experience before pursuing Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Teaching, Therapy, or SEN support?

Ribbons & Reeves are recruiting ambitious Psychology Graduates to work full-time, Monday to Friday, term-time only, in primary and secondary schools across Brent from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity to support pupils with Special Educational Needs, Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and a range of additional learning barriers. Brent is one of London’s most diverse boroughs, with schools that place a strong emphasis on inclusion, early intervention, pastoral care, and targeted academic support.

As a Psychology Graduate, you will work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, pastoral teams, and external professionals to provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support. You will help pupils access the curriculum, regulate their emotions, build confidence, and develop positive learning behaviours.

To be considered for this Psychology Graduate role, you must:

Hold a 2:1 degree or higher in Psychology from a Top 30 university.
Have at least 6 months’ experience working with children, young people, vulnerable individuals, or challenging behaviour.
Be confident supporting pupils with SEN, SEMH, and complex additional needs.
Be committed to working full-time in a Brent school from September 2026.

This Psychology Graduate role is ideal for aspiring Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, SEN Teachers, Therapists, or Pastoral Support professionals who want high-quality, practical experience in a school setting.

You will gain invaluable exposure to SEN provision, behaviour support, EHCP targets, intervention planning, and inclusive classroom practice, all while earning £100 per day PAYE, with higher rates available depending on experience.

Apply now to begin your journey as a Psychology Graduate supporting SEN and SEMH pupils in Brent schools from September 2026.

Ribbons & Reeves are London’s leading Education Recruiters, specialising in helping educators secure long-term and permanent roles. If you are interested in roles like this Psychology Graduate position in Brent, search ‘Ribbons & Reeves’. We look forward to supporting your application.
