SLCN Assistant – Brent – Immediate Start

Are you a graduate looking to gain hands-on experience supporting pupils with speech, language and communication needs before pursuing Speech and Language Therapy?

This SLCN Assistant role is ideal for someone with a genuine interest in communication needs, SEND, child development and therapeutic support.

SLCN Assistant | Key Details

• £95-110 per day PAYE
• Full-time, term-time only
• Immediate start
• Based in Brent
• Full academic year contract
• Ideal experience for aspiring Speech and Language Therapists

SLCN Assistant | The Role

• Support pupils with speech, language and communication needs
• Provide 1:1, small-group and in-class support
• Help develop vocabulary, listening, attention and social communication
• Support pupils with Autism, speech delay, language processing needs or EHCP targets
• Follow communication strategies and intervention plans
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals

SLCN Assistant | Candidate Requirements

• Degree in Psychology, Linguistics, English Language, Education or related subject preferred
• Strong interest in becoming a Speech and Language Therapist
• Calm, patient and consistent approach
• Clear communication skills and strong spoken English
• Reliable and able to commit for the full academic year
