SLCN Assistant – Islington – Immediate Start

• £95-110 per day PAYE
• Full-time, term-time only

SLCN Assistant | The Role
• Support pupils with speech, language and communication needs
• Help pupils build confidence with spoken language, attention and interaction
• Provide support in class, 1:1 and in small intervention groups
• Use communication strategies set by the SENCO, teachers and external specialists
• Support pupils with Autism, language delay, processing needs or EHCP targets
• Encourage independence, engagement and positive relationships in school
SLCN Assistant | Candidate Requirements
• Degree in Psychology, Linguistics, English Language, Education or a related subject preferred
• Genuine interest in Speech and Language Therapy or SEND
• Clear communication skills and strong spoken English
• Calm, patient and consistent approach
• Previous experience with children is useful but not essential
• Able to commit for the full academic year
