Key responsibilities of the Head of Religious Education:

  • Lead and develop the Religious Education curriculum to inspire students.

  • Teach Philosophy, Ethics & Christianity and deliver Core R.E. sessions.

  • Support the faith-based ethos of the College through liturgical events and assemblies.

  • Work closely with senior leadership to embed Catholic values across the College.

  • Ensure high standards of teaching and learning within the Religious Education department.

  • Manage and support a small team of dedicated Religious Education teachers.

  • Promote an inclusive approach that respects the diverse cultural and faith backgrounds of students.

What we’re looking for in a Head of Religious Education:

  • A well-qualified and committed Religious Education specialist

  • A practising Catholic with a passion for faith-based education

  • Experience leading a department or strong ambitions to take on leadership responsibilities

  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality Religious Education lessons
