We are seeking a dedicated Chemistry Academic Mentor to join a forward-thinking school in Tottenham, Haringey. Chemistry Academic Mentor | Role Overview:

As a Chemistry Academic Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students during their A-level studies. You will assist them in developing key subject knowledge, critical thinking skills, and exam techniques. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing individual and group academic support to students studying Chemistry at A-level.
  • Leading tailored revision sessions and academic workshops to boost student engagement and understanding.
  • Working closely with teaching staff to track progress and identify areas for development.
  • Helping students to develop essential study and revision skills to enhance their learning experience.
  • Offering one-on-one mentoring for students requiring additional academic support in Chemistry.

 

Chemistry Academic Mentor | Key Requirements:

  • On track for a 2:1 or 1st Class degree in Chemistry from a top 25 UK University.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible manner.
  • A passion for education and aspirations towards a future career in teaching.
  • The ability to inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential.
  • Previous experience in teaching or tutoring is advantageous but not essential.
