Head of RE | Barnet | September Start

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed Head of RE to lead a dynamic RE department from September 2025.

The successful Head of RE will be responsible for shaping the curriculum and raising standards in RE across KS3, KS4, and KS5.

The ideal Head of RE will have a passion for developing both staff and students, and will inspire a team of dedicated teachers to maintain the department's outstanding performance, while demonstrating a strong commitment to Catholic ethos and values.

The Ideal Candidate | Head of RE:

• Demonstrates a strong understanding of and alignment with Catholic ethos and values.

• An outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven record of achieving excellent results in RE
• Experienced in teaching RE across KS3, KS4 (GCSE), and KS5 (A-Level Religious Studies)
• A Head of RE with leadership experience and a clear vision for the department

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and inspire the RE department as Head of RE, ensuring a high standard of teaching and learning
• Create an environment where students explore faith, ethics, and philosophy
• Actively promote the RE department and raise its profile across the school
