An exciting opportunity has opened up at a high-achieving secondary school in Richmond for a Food Technology Teacher (ECT) to join their Design & Technology department in September 2025.
This permanent, full-time role is perfect for a Food Technology Teacher (ECT) ready to start their teaching career in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
The successful Food Technology Teacher (ECT) will benefit from excellent facilities including modern kitchens, specialist equipment, and strong technician support. You’ll be working with pupils across Key Stage 3 and 4, promoting healthy living, practical skills, and creativity through a well-rounded Food curriculum.
As a Food Technology Teacher (ECT), you will receive tailored support to complete your induction and be part of a collaborative team that values innovation and practical learning.
Food Technology Teacher (ECT) – Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging Food Technology lessons at KS3 and KS4
- Maintain high standards of health and safety in practical lessons
- Work alongside your ECT mentor to build confidence and expertise
- Contribute to curriculum planning and after-school activities
Requirements:
- PGCE with QTS in Design & Technology or Food Technology
- Degree in a relevant subject area
- Passion for teaching food and nutrition and inspiring young learners
