A creative and forward-thinking secondary school in Tooting, Wandsworth is seeking a
full-time Design Technology Teacher from September 2025.
This is a brilliant opportunity to join a well-equipped DT department with the freedom to innovate and the support to develop your practice.
As a Design Technology Teacher, you will teach across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons in Product Design, Resistant Materials, and/or Graphics depending on your specialism. There is scope to support extra-curricular clubs, projects, and links with industry to enhance student experience.
The school has a strong commitment to technical and vocational education, with DT being a valued subject at every key stage. Whether you’re an ECT or an experienced teacher, you’ll benefit from a collaborative team and regular CPD.
Design Technology Teacher – Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and teach high-quality DT lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Contribute to curriculum development and resourcing
- Use assessment to inform planning and raise achievement
- Engage in wider school life, including clubs and enrichment
Person Specification:
- UK QTS and DT or related design qualification
- Confident using workshop tools and health & safety protocols
- Experience or willingness to teach multiple DT specialisms
