Year 6 Teacher | Havering | September Start

Year 6 Teacher – Key Responsibilities:

• Lead engaging and effective Year 6 lessons across the curriculum

• Support pupils through a key transitional academic year

• Track pupil progress and tailor interventions as needed

• Work collaboratively within a large school environment

• Effectively manage behaviour in line with the school’s policies

• Communicate confidently and professionally with parents and carers

• Contribute to curriculum planning and school improvement initiatives

• Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere

Year 6 Teacher – Person Specification:

• 1:1 degree from a top 20 UK university

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching KS2, preferably in Year 6

• Confident with classroom and behaviour management

• Supportive approach to working with SEND pupils

• Proactive, creative, and flexible in teaching strategies

• Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Drive to progress into middle or senior leadership
