Location: Hounslow, West London
Contract: September 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: £444 per week (PAYE)

A vibrant secondary school in Hounslow is searching for an English Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Years 7–11 with reading, writing and literacy interventions. This English Graduate Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone looking to explore teaching or educational support while building valuable experience in a classroom setting.
As an English Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with the English department and SEN team to identify students in need of extra help and support them through small group sessions and 1:1 tutoring. The school is committed to inclusive education and values graduates who bring energy, creativity and compassion to their work.
English Graduate Teaching Assistant – Key Duties:
- Run reading intervention groups with lower-attaining students
- Provide writing and literacy support in class and during form time
- Help students improve vocabulary, comprehension and writing fluency
- Support teachers with resource preparation and classroom activities
We’re looking for:
- An English graduate (2:1 or above) from a UK university
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A desire to work in education or teaching
- Full availability from September 2025
