Speech and Language Assistant – Richmond – September 2025 Start

Location: Richmond, South West London
Contract: September 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: £444.00 per week (PAYE)
Interviews: June/July 2025

Are you a graduate interested in speech and language development, looking to support children in a school setting from September?

A nurturing primary school in Richmond is looking for a Speech and Language Assistant to work with children across EYFS and KS1. This Speech and Language Assistant role is ideal for a graduate keen to pursue speech and language therapy, SEN support, or child development.

As a Speech and Language Assistant, you’ll work closely with the SENCo and external therapists to deliver interventions, support communication targets, and help pupils build essential speaking and listening skills.

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting children with speech, language, and communication needs
• Delivering structured interventions in 1:1 and small group settings
• Monitoring pupil progress and reporting outcomes
• Encouraging confidence, expression, and participation in class

We’re looking for:

• A 2:1 or above in Psychology, Linguistics, or a related subject
• An interest in speech and language development
• A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
• Availability for the full 2025/26 academic year
