Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Role Overview:

Support pupils with SEN in both 1:1 and small group settings
-
Lead structured interventions and scaffolded learning activities
-
Help maintain strong behaviour management strategies in line with school policies

Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents
-
Assist with lesson delivery and adapt resources to support learning

Monitor pupil progress and report to class teachers and SENCO

Contribute to the inclusive ethos and wider school environment

Work closely with external agencies and SEND professionals when needed
Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Person Specification:

1:1 Degree from a top 20 UK University
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Confident supporting SEND pupils with a proactive and positive attitude

Previous SEN experience (desirable but not essential)

Keen to progress into teacher training or educational psychology

Flexible, creative and adaptive in approach to learning

Comfortable working in a large school environment in Havering
