Intervention Assistant – Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead focused intervention sessions with high-attaining pupils

  • Deliver academic support to small groups, with a focus on progress and attainment

  • Work closely with SEND pupils, including those with Autism

  • Communicate effectively with staff and parents to support pupil development

  • Help maintain high standards of behaviour within the classroom

  • Follow and enhance curriculum content through creative support

  • Assist in monitoring pupil progress and adapting strategies accordingly

  • Provide tailored academic and emotional support to pupils

 

Intervention Assistant – Candidate Requirements:

  • 1:1 Degree from a top 20 UK University

  • Confident working with behaviour management strategies

  • Supportive and proactive, especially when working with SEND pupils

  • Flexible, creative, and adaptive approach to classroom challenges

  • Previous experience supporting pupils with Autism is essential

  • Clear desire to pursue teacher training in the near future
