SEND Classroom Assistant – Hounslow – September 2025 Start

Location: Hounslow, West London
Contract: September 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: £444.00 per week (PAYE)
Interviews: June/July 2025

A welcoming secondary school in Hounslow is looking for a SEND Classroom Assistant to provide crucial in-class support for students with a range of SEND needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties. This SEND Classroom Assistant role is ideal for graduates considering careers in special education, speech therapy, or educational psychology.

As a SEND Classroom Assistant, you will support pupils individually and in small groups, assist teachers with lesson adaptations, and help implement behaviour management strategies tailored to individual needs.

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils with SEND in lessons and around the school
• Helping to adapt learning materials and classroom environments
• Assisting with sensory regulation and communication strategies
• Monitoring and reporting on pupil progress alongside the SENCo

We’re looking for:

• A 2:1 or above in Psychology, Education, or a related subject
• Strong communication skills and patience
• An interest in inclusive education and SEND
• Commitment to the full academic year
