Contract: September 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: £444.00 per week (PAYE)

A warm and inclusive primary school in Richmond is seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to work within their EYFS provision. This Early Years Teaching Assistant role is perfect for graduates looking to train as Early Years Teachers or pursue careers in speech and language therapy or educational psychology.

 

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you’ll help young children develop essential language, motor and social skills through play-based learning. The school is looking for an Early Years Teaching Assistant who is patient, nurturing and full of energy, ready to support both the academic and emotional growth of pupils aged 3–5.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting children’s learning through structured play and phonics
  • Assisting with speech and language development strategies
  • Promoting social interaction, independence and routine
  • Supporting children with SEND and EAL
  • Helping to track progress and contribute to EYFS learning journals

 

We’re looking for:

  • A 2:1 or above in Psychology, Education or a related field
  • A passion for child development and early learning
  • Patience, enthusiasm and excellent communication skills
  • Commitment to the full academic year

 

Please note: This role is only open to applicants with a UK undergraduate degree. We cannot consider overseas degrees, even with a UK Master’s. Sponsorship is not available, so applicants must have UK citizenship or the right to work via settled status.
