English Classroom Assistant – Wandsworth – September 2025 Start
Location: Wandsworth, South West London
Contract: September 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: £444.00 per week (PAYE)

A popular secondary school in Wandsworth is looking for an English Classroom Assistant to support pupils across KS3 and KS4. You’ll join a creative and friendly English department known for excellent collaboration and strong student outcomes.
As an English Classroom Assistant, you’ll help pupils improve their reading, writing and speaking skills through classroom support and targeted literacy interventions. The school values inclusion, academic success and a warm, respectful learning culture.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting English lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Leading small group literacy activities and interventions
- Helping pupils develop vocabulary, writing structure and analytical skills
- Encouraging lively discussion and confident communication in class
We’re looking for:
- A 2:1 or above in English Literature, English Language or a similar subject
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- An interest in education and literacy support
- Availability from September 2025 to July 2026 for the full academic year
