Geography Teaching Assistant – What the Role Involves
- Supporting teaching and learning in KS3 and KS4 Geography lessons
- Working with students 1:1 or in small groups to reinforce understanding
- Helping to manage classroom behaviour and maintain a focused learning environment
- Assisting with the preparation of lesson materials and resources
- Supporting progress tracking and pupil feedback
Geography Teaching Assistant – What the School is Looking For
The ideal candidate will be a Geography graduate with a 2:1 or 1st Class degree from a top 30 UK university. Previous experience working with young people is highly valued – whether through tutoring, mentoring, youth work, or school placements. You should be proactive, compassionate, and eager to learn, with strong communication skills and a real interest in education.
Geography Teaching Assistant – Salary and Contract Info
- £444 per week, pro rata to term-time only
- Full-time, long-term contract (September 2025 – July 2026)
- Term-time only
- Opportunity for teacher training or extension based on performance
