ARP Teaching Assistant | Redbridge | September Start

 

We are seeking a passionate and driven ARP Teaching Assistant to join a ‘Good’ Ofsted-rated secondary school in Redbridge this September. This well-connected school values behaviour management and prides itself on creating a structured, inclusive environment where every student can thrive. As an ARP Teaching Assistant, you will be working within the school’s Autism Resource Provision, supporting students with Autism and ADHD on a 1:1 and small group basis.

Key responsibilities of the ARP Teaching Assistant:

  • Support students within the ARP, focusing on Autism and ADHD needs

  • Deliver tailored interventions to improve behaviour, focus and attainment

  • Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families

  • Use creativity and flexibility to adapt to students’ individual needs

 

What we’re looking for in an ARP Teaching Assistant:

  • 1:1 or 2:1 degree from a top 20 UK university

  • Experience supporting students in a school or youth setting (preferred)

  • Confident working with SEND, particularly Autism and ADHD

  • Strong communication skills and a team player attitude

  • Resilient, adaptable and proactive in the classroom

  • Desire to pursue a career in Psychology, Teaching, or SEN
