Are you a motivated English Tutor eager to support students in reaching their full potential? A highly-regarded secondary school in Croydon is looking for a passionate individual to join their team this September as an English Tutor.

This full-time English Tutor position is ideal for aspiring English teachers or experienced tutors looking to gain in-school experience and make a genuine impact on students’ academic journeys in English Language and Literature.

The Role | English Tutor

  • Full-Time English Tutor (Contract)
  • Available to English Graduates with a 2:1 or higher classification
  • September 2025 start through to July 2026
  • £500+ per week PAYE (term-time only)
  • Potential route into salaried teacher training

 

As an English Tutor, you will work predominantly within the English department, delivering targeted academic support across KS3, KS4, and KS5. You’ll support students in small groups and one-to-one sessions, helping to boost confidence and improve attainment. While your timetable will focus mainly on English, you will also be expected to contribute as a dynamic and flexible team member by supporting in other areas of the school as required.
