Location: Hounslow, West London
Contract: October 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: Minimum £444.00 per week

A specialist college in West London is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join their team supporting students aged 19–25 with autism, sensory impairments, physical disabilities, and profound and multiple learning difficulties. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with prior SEN experience to step into a role where every day is different and where you can make a real impact.

The Role:

  • Support students with autism, complex needs, and multiple learning difficulties
  • Use Makaton signing and symbols to aid communication
  • Assist with classroom activities, life skills, and vocational sessions
  • Provide personal care and ensure students’ wellbeing
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and therapists to deliver engaging sessions

 

We’re looking for:

  • A Teaching Assistant with an NVQ3 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject
  • Previous experience in a specialist school or college setting
  • Strong communication skills, ideally with Makaton experience
  • Calm, patient, and resilient individuals committed to supporting students with SEN
  • An Enhanced DBS
