Contract: November 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: Minimum £444 per week (PAYE)

This Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist role in Richmond provides a brilliant opportunity to gain practical, school-based experience before undertaking postgraduate training. As an Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist, you will work with pupils who have communication or speech difficulties, helping them to develop their confidence and express themselves more effectively.
In this Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist role, you’ll support teaching staff, SENCOs, and therapists to deliver tailored interventions and communication programmes. You’ll learn how to use visual aids, assistive technology, and speech exercises to support children with additional needs.
The Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist role is ideal for graduates with an interest in linguistics, psychology, or child development who are eager to make a tangible difference to children’s lives.
The Role:
- Support pupils with speech, language, and communication needs
- Assist with structured interventions and communication activities
- Work collaboratively with SEN and therapy staff
- Hours: 08:30–15:30 (term-time only)
We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 2:1 degree in Psychology, Linguistics, English, or related subject
- Interest in child communication and SEN
- Empathetic, patient, and proactive attitude
- Enhanced DBS check, or willingness to apply
