Are you a qualified BSL Learning Support Assistant (Level 4 minimum) seeking a school-based role where inclusive communication and pupil support are a genuine priority?

A welcoming primary school in Lewisham, South East London is looking to appoint a BSL Learning Support Assistant from January 2026 to support deaf and hearing-impaired pupils within a supportive and well-structured setting.

BSL Learning Support Assistant | Person Specification

  • A recognised BSL Level 4 qualification (minimum).
  • Experience supporting deaf or hearing-impaired children in a school or child-centred setting.
  • A calm, patient and proactive approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine commitment to inclusive education.
  • Please note: applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

 

Contract and Pay

  • Pay: £444 per week (term-time only, pro rata)
  • Contract: Full-time, long-term
  • Duration: January – July (with potential to extend)
