SENCO (Secondary School)
Location: Camden, North London
Contract: Permanent or long-term
Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)
Start date: April 2026 or sooner by agreement

 

A well-regarded secondary school in the London Borough of Camden is seeking an experienced and committed SENCO to lead and develop its SEND provision. This is a key leadership role within the school, offering the opportunity to make a tangible impact on pupils with additional needs across KS3 and KS4.

 

The role:

  • Lead the strategic development of SEND provision across the school
  • Ensure statutory duties under the SEND Code of Practice are met
  • Oversee EHCP processes, reviews and annual reporting
  • Work closely with senior leaders, teaching staff, external professionals and families
  • Line manage support staff and contribute to whole-school improvement
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of interventions and provision

 

The school is looking for someone who:

  • Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination
  • Has experience supporting pupils with a range of additional needs in a secondary setting
  • Has strong knowledge of current SEND legislation and best practice
  • Is confident working with data to inform provision and outcomes
  • Can communicate effectively with staff, parents and external agencies
  • Is organised, resilient and able to manage competing priorities
