The Role
The successful Teaching Assistant will:
- Support students across KS3 and KS4 in a range of subjects
- Deliver small-group interventions and provide 1:1 support where required
- Work closely with class teachers to adapt learning materials
- Assist students with SEND or additional learning needs
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
- Contribute to whole-school literacy and numeracy initiatives
Working collaboratively within the department, the Teaching Assistant will play a key role in ensuring all learners are supported and challenged appropriately.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal Teaching Assistant will have:
- Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable)
- A relevant qualification or degree (desirable but not essential)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to motivate and support learners of all abilities
- A proactive, patient, and team-focused approach
