About the Opportunity

A creative and inclusive secondary school in the London Borough of Lambeth is working in partnership with a specialist education recruitment agency to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Art Teacher.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Early Career Teacher or an experienced Art Teacher to join a supportive and well-resourced department.

The Role

As an Art Teacher, you will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach KS5 depending on experience.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality Art lessons across a range of media
• Developing students’ creativity, technical skills and confidence
• Preparing students for GCSE and/or A-Level Art
• Supporting extracurricular opportunities such as clubs, exhibitions and trips
• Contributing to curriculum development within the Art department

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking an Art Teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is working towards it
• Has a degree in Art, Fine Art or a related subject
• Has strong subject knowledge across different artistic disciplines
• Is passionate about creativity and student development
• Can inspire and motivate students of all abilities
• Is committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice
