A vibrant, high-achieving secondary school in Enfield is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and linguistically talented French & Spanish ECT to join their dynamic Modern Foreign Languages department from September 2026. The Role

What the School is Looking For
This permanent French & Spanish ECT role will suit candidates who:
- Hold QTS or are in the final stages of a UK-recognised initial teacher training programme
- Have graduated with a 2:1 or above in Modern Languages or a related discipline, ideally from a Russell Group or similarly well-regarded university
- Can demonstrate classroom experience in a UK secondary school setting through timetabled placements or an ECT year
- Show a clear ability to plan structured, progressive lessons and evidence measurable improvement in pupil language skills
- Are confident managing a classroom within an established whole-school behaviour framework
- Hold full legal entitlement to work in the UK - visa sponsorship is not available through this school
This role is open to candidates who have completed or are completing formal UK teacher training only.
Salary & Contract
Outer London MPS: £37,870 to £50,474, with UPS up to £56,154. Salary on appointment will reflect ECT status, with incremental progression as induction is successfully completed.
