Year 6 Teacher – Haringey – September 2026
A high-performing primary school in Haringey is seeking an experienced and committed Year 6 Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is a permanent Year 6 Teacher role within a school rated Good with Outstanding features by Ofsted, offering an excellent opportunity for a confident practitioner to lead a Key Stage 2 class through SATs and transition to secondary school.

The Role
As Year 6 Teacher, you will take full responsibility for delivering a high-quality curriculum, preparing pupils for end of Key Stage 2 assessments, and ensuring strong academic progress across the cohort. You will plan and deliver structured lessons in reading, writing and mathematics, use assessment data to inform targeted intervention, and contribute to whole-school improvement. Supporting pupils’ transition to secondary school and maintaining strong communication with parents will be key aspects of the role.
What the School is Looking For
This permanent Year 6 Teacher position will suit candidates who:
• Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) through a recognised training route
• Have a strong academic background, ideally a 2:1 degree or above from a reputable university
• Can demonstrate successful teaching experience within a UK primary school, particularly in KS2
• Have a track record of securing strong pupil progress and outcomes, ideally in Year 6
• Are confident working within clear behaviour systems and maintaining high expectations
• Are legally entitled to work in the UK, as visa sponsorship is not available
Candidates without UK primary teaching experience or a clear understanding of KS2 expectations will not be considered.
Salary & Contract
Inner London MPS: £40,317 to £52,300, with UPS up to £62,496. Additional responsibility may be available for experienced Year 6 Teachers.
