Learning Support Assistant | Hackney | September 2026 Start

An ambitious secondary school in Hackney is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join its team from September 2026 until July 2027. This full-time opportunity is perfect for graduates who want to develop their experience within education while supporting students to achieve their academic and personal goals.

Learning Support Assistant – What the School Offers

• Full academic year placement from September 2026 until July 2027
• 33.5 working hours per week, including half-days on Fridays

The Role

You will provide classroom support across KS3 and KS4, assist with targeted interventions and work closely with students who require additional academic support. The role also involves supporting pupils with SEND needs through 1:1 and small-group work, helping them engage confidently with learning.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds a 2:1 degree or above from a leading UK university
• Has previous child-centred experience through tutoring, mentoring or coaching
• Demonstrates strong communication and organisational skills
• Is passionate about education and supporting young people to succeed
