Autism Support Assistant Benefits:
£95-105 per day PAYE
Full-time, term-time only contract
September 2026 start
Excellent training provided, so no previous school experience is required

This Autism Support Assistant role is ideal for a top graduate who is proactive, resilient and genuinely committed to supporting pupils with ASC.
As an Autism Support Assistant, you will support boys with Autism, communication, emotional regulation, social interaction, independence and access to the secondary curriculum.
You will work closely with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, helping them stay focused in lessons, understand instructions, manage routines and build confidence across the school day.
The successful Autism Support Assistant must be calm, consistent and confident supporting pupils who may require clear communication, structured routines and individualised support strategies.

Autism Support Assistant requirements:
A strong degree from a reputable university
Clear interest in Autism, SEND, psychology, therapy or child development
Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn from teachers and SEND professionals
Confident supporting secondary-aged pupils in and out of the classroom
Calm, resilient and able to use initiative when supporting pupils with additional needs
