STEM Academic Mentor | Epping | Immediate Start
Are you a high-achieving STEM graduate looking to make a genuine impact in a secondary school environment?
An exciting opportunity has arisen at a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Epping, committed to high academic standards, student development and preparing young people for future success.
We are seeking a confident and enthusiastic STEM Academic Mentor to provide targeted support in Maths and Science up to GCSE level.
STEM Academic Mentor | The Role
- Full-Time, long-term STEM Academic Mentor position
- Immediate Start
- £500+ per week via PAYE, inclusive of holiday pay
- Deliver targeted Maths and Science support up to GCSE level
- Lead 1:1 and small-group mentoring sessions across KS3 and KS4
- Identify gaps in knowledge and provide tailored academic support
- Help students develop confidence, subject knowledge and independent learning skills

What We’re Looking For
- A First-Class or 2:1 degree in a relevant STEM subject
- Strong academic background, including excellent A-level results
- Previous experience working with children or young people
- Confidence supporting Maths and Science up to GCSE level
- Experience providing 1:1 or small-group support is desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for education and supporting young people
