SEN Teacher – Islington

Are you a qualified teacher looking for a role where you can make a real difference to pupils with additional needs?

A specialist SEN school in Islington is looking for a committed and adaptable SEN Teacher to join their team.

This would suit an experienced SEN teacher, but we're also keen to hear from mainstream Primary teachers who are considering a move into specialist education.

The Role

• Teach a small class of pupils with a range of additional needs

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons

• Adapt the curriculum to individual learning needs

• Support pupils' communication, confidence and independence

• Build positive relationships with pupils who may find mainstream education challenging

• Work closely with Teaching Assistants and the wider SEN team

• Track progress and contribute to individual targets

• Use practical and creative approaches to engage learners

• Maintain a calm, structured and positive classroom environment

About You

We're looking for a teacher who is:

• QTS qualified

• Patient, consistent and adaptable

• Confident managing a classroom and differentiating learning

• Able to build strong relationships with pupils

• Resilient and positive in their approach

• Passionate about helping young people make progress

SEN experience is beneficial but not essential. If you're a strong mainstream teacher with good classroom management, differentiation and relationship-building skills, we'd be interested in speaking with you.
