English Graduate | Hackney | Immediate Start

Are you an English Graduate looking to gain meaningful secondary school experience before progressing into teacher training, Educational Psychology or another education-focused career? A successful and inclusive secondary school in Hackney is seeking an English Graduate to join on an immediate, full-time, long-term basis until July 2027.

This opportunity is ideal for a graduate who is passionate about English, reading and helping young people develop their confidence in literacy. The school is committed to providing a broad and ambitious curriculum, with a strong focus on developing pupils’ academic achievement, personal development and future aspirations. You will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff, gaining valuable insight into classroom practice while making a genuine difference to pupils’ progress.

£444–£513 weekly via PAYE (inclusive of holiday pay)

The role will involve:

  • Working closely with teachers to monitor progress and encourage academic confidence

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold an English-related degree from a leading UK university
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possess strong child-centred experience working with young people
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm, patience and a genuine passion for English and education
