Are you interested in supporting young people with their behaviour, emotional wellbeing and engagement in education? A secondary school in Bromley is looking for a Pastoral Support Assistant to help pupils overcome barriers to learning and make positive choices throughout the school day.

This role would suit someone with experience working with young people in education, youth work, mentoring or a similar setting. You will work alongside pastoral staff and teachers to support attendance, encourage positive behaviour and help pupils develop the confidence and routines needed to succeed at school.

  • Helping resolve minor conflicts and encouraging positive choices.

  • Supporting pupils during unstructured times and transitions.

  • Communicating concerns to the appropriate pastoral staff.

  • Working with teachers and the pastoral team to implement support strategies.

  • Maintaining accurate records in line with school procedures.

The successful Pastoral Support Assistant will:

  • Be able to manage challenging situations appropriately.
