Head of Business | 'Outstanding' Secondary School in Barnet | September 2024

Do you thrive on sharing your expertise and inspiring the young minds of tomorrow? I am looking to speak with a dedicated and dynamic Head of Business who are seeking a new opportunity in a supportive and academic environment.

As a Head of Business, you will be pivotal in delivering high-quality education to your students and leading your department to success. You will design engaging lessons, foster critical thinking, and instil a deep understanding of subject-focused concepts. Your enthusiasm for the subject will ignite a passion for learning, preparing our students for success in their future endeavours. With a large proportion of students opting to study Business at GCSE, and take it on to A-Level, you will be expected to teach from KS3 up to KS5 as a Head of Business.

Head of Business | About the role:

  • You will plan and deliver comprehensive and informative Business Studies lessons as a Head of Business.
  • A Head of Business must create inclusive lessons, and differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Join this 'Outstanding' secondary school as a Head of Business, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum.
  • Utilise innovative teaching methods and technology.
  • Write and conduct staff appraisals for members of your department.

Head of Business | About you:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential for a Head of Business.
  • A First Class or 2:1 Business Studies or related field from a Top UK University would be advantageous for a Head of Business.
  • Experience in teaching Business Studies across KS3 and KS4.
  • To be a Head of Business, you need strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.

Looking for an ambitious Head of Business who is determined to meet the incredible standards that the faculty and students have already set. For the right Head of Business candidate, there would be the opportunity to take on additional responsibility to even lead the Business Department. Join a school with a warm and welcoming environment and a supportive SLT, who will support you in your new endeavour.
