SEN Teaching Assistant | About the role:

  • This SEN Teaching Assistant position is based in an Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP), on the site of a fantastic mainstream secondary school.
  • Provide the best standard of care for children diagnosed with ASD, ADHD, ASC and other SEN needs as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
  • Work 1:1 with students or in small groups to help students with their studies.
  • Report to the SENCo, the ARP Leadership Team and the SLT to provide the best support and care for the children, creating an environment for them to flourish.
  • Become a friendly and reliable face for students throughout the school.
  • Support students across a number of subjects, helping them achieve the best grades. 

SEN Teaching Assistant | About you:

  • A SEN TA will need a first-class degree in Psychology, Education or a related field from a Top 20 UK University.
  • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs would be advantageous for a SEN Teaching Assistant.
  • Resilience, fantastic interpersonal and communication skills, and a calm temperament.
  • Aspirations to have a career in education or to become a psychologist.
  • Dedication to providing the best education around.
