SEN Teaching Assistant | Havering

Are you a talented graduate and feel that a rewarding position supporting pupils with additional learning needs as a SEN Teaching Assistant would align with your passions and career aspirations?

Do you have experience dealing with challenging behaviour in an educational setting?

If this sounds like you, I am currently working with a Primary School that has a brilliant SEND provision based in Romford. They are looking to recruit an empathetic and resilient individual to take on a SEN Teaching Assistant role where you will be working on a 1:1 basis with a child who has Autism and/or SEMH (Social, Emotional, Mental Health) needs.

SEN Teaching Assistant | The role:

  • Working alongside SEND professionals to support the learning and care of pupils both inside and outside the classroom on a 1:1 basis.
  • Implementing specific EHCP’s to ensure the correct approach is being given.
  • Ensuring that all children have a safe learning environment and are assisted in their learning and development.

SEN Teaching Assistant | The successful candidate will:

  • Obtain a psychology-related degree from a Top 20 UK University (minimum 2:1).
  • Have a positive and enthusiastic approach with a passion for supporting learners with SEND.
  • Embrace in working in a varied and sometimes unpredictable environment.
  • Ideally have experience working with children who display challenging behaviour.
