Behaviour Mentor Assistant – Responsibilities:

  • Support students in understanding and adhering to school behaviour policies.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group interventions, focusing on goal setting, coping strategies, and conflict resolution.
  • Promote students' emotional wellbeing, resilience, and self-control.
  • Assist teachers in managing classroom behaviour to ensure a productive learning space.
  • Use behavioural strategies and support tools to enhance students' personal growth and classroom focus.
  • Communicate regularly with teachers, school leadership, and occasionally with parents to monitor progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of interventions, incidents, and progress to inform support strategies.

 

Behaviour Mentor Assistant – Essential Requirements:

  • A degree in Psychology or a related field – Minimum 2:1 degree from a recognised UK university.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and collaborate with staff.
