Intervention Support Assistant – Barking & Dagenham – ASAP Start

Your Role as an Intervention Support Assistant

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students who are struggling in lessons.
• Lead intervention groups, particularly in Maths, focusing on progress and attainment.
• Encourage students to participate in mainstream lessons and support them in accessing the curriculum.
• Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to meet individual learning needs.
• Support children both inside and outside of the classroom, focusing on increasing the school’s progress 8 score.

What We’re Looking For

• A 1:1 or 2:1 degree from a top 20 UK university.
• Previous experience working with children is preferred.
• Strong behaviour management skills and confidence working with SEND students.
• A proactive, creative, and adaptable team player with excellent communication skills.
