Key Responsibilities of the SENDCo Role:

  • Oversee and manage the SEN department to ensure all students with EHCPs receive tailored support.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies to provide effective interventions.
  • Assign and coordinate Teaching Assistants to meet the needs of SEN students.
  • Develop and monitor strategies to ensure all students thrive academically and personally.

Essential Requirements for the SENDCo Role:

  • Hold a NASENCO qualification (essential).
  • Demonstrated experience in working with children with EHCPs.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills to lead a successful department.
