A well-regarded and inclusive school in the City of London is seeking a Pastoral Support Assistant to join their SEN provision. In this key role, you will work closely with students who require additional support to help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Pastoral Support Assistant | Job Summary
- Full-time, term-time only role | Immediate start
- Long-term contract until July 2025
- Role paying £400-£500 per week | Paid weekly on a PAYE basis
- First-Class or 2:1 degree from a top 20 UK university
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND is essential
Pastoral Support Assistant | Job Role
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with varied SEN
- Assist with personal care tasks (e.g., toileting), ensuring dignity and comfort
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students, ensuring a safe environment for all
- Help develop students' social, emotional, and communication skills, building their confidence and independence
- Collaborate with experienced SEND professionals, specialist teachers, and educational psychologists, gaining valuable hands-on experience
